"An
efficient bureaucracy is the greatest threat to liberty. - Eugene
J. McCarthy"
Part
of a series of three pictures that I created on the feelings created
by living in a city. When I first moved to a city in 1995 I was interested
at how different the pace and quality of life were to what I was used
to. These images show my thoughts on a few issues city life raises.
The
dead-eyed imperiousness that is the red tape involved with getting
anything done involving local government.
Under
the dead eyes I wanted to comment on the character by putting false
tears in the picture the sense of false caring that you get from governmental
offices. Certainly in my experience when one expects help.
The
down turned lips raised in a sneer. I wanted to get a sense of aloofness
from the face. An uncaring visage that looks through you.
