Phuturist.net poster

An image created for Phuturist.net (/www.phuturist.net/). This was completed to advertise the website and was entitled 'In the blood'.

I started out with the logo and a couple of ideas. Put a texture of a tiled floor as a background and using the logo as a template created a glass effect coloured red. Originally there was no dark edge to the logo, however the image was a little too vague so the edge was created to make the logo more recognisable.

The spatters around the log were created by first creating a cloud effect and then creating a marquee from that. This was then treated in the same way as the logo and then the two were blended together.

The scalpel was taken from a photograph of same found using Google image browser. This was then added to the image and shadowed and highlighted as was fitting with the overall picture.
