Playdough flyer

"Playdough. Monthly Breakbeat @ The Mine, University Of Leeds"

Playdough is a collective of DJs that put on a breakbeat and drum and bass night once a month. I was asked to create some flyers and posters for this event. The brief was to create a look and feel that got across the idea of a fun, upbeat sense.

The swiming pool steps shows through and distorted by the water. I like the way that the water realistically bends the image of the sky and the top of the pool object. Its a difficult thing to get right and I feel I have done a good job here.

Here is the same section taken from the wireframe to show the level of image refraction. Although the model is good I feel I still need to work on the lighting or at lesat revise it slightly.

 

The model for the logo is taken from the earlier image 'Colours' although the shadowing on the object is turned on here.
