Back in 1998/1999 I worked for Netline, an ISP up in the north of england. While I was there I created this character called 'starman'. Later on they changed their name to Supanet and I created the new logo for them. In this picture I wanted to include both just for fun.

The starman was created wearing sunglasses for a few reasons. Firstly it was meant to be a bright star so sunglasses seemed fitting also I didn't want to have just a cartoon face on the character so this was the obvious answer.

I wanted to have the supanet letters as children's building block toys so as to fit in with the idea of the picture, with the starman as a kind of action figure. I also included the ark or sweep that is at the end of the supanet logo as a rubberised pliable piece.

The joins on the hand at the fingers were left in to show moulding marks. I wanted to make it as a rubber action figure so these lines are included all over the figure, including down the side of the starman body.
